Geoff did a tour to see the sunrise at Haleakala extinct volcano then rode a bike down the mountain but I wasn't interested in the 2am pickup time! so I took the shuttle to Lahaina town for a bit of a wander about instead.     ... music as happy hour was celebrated everywhere. We headed across the island to the main highway from the airport to Kihei and headed home. We went past Kihei and tried to get to a nice beach beyond Wailea to watch the sunset, but I keep getting in the wrong lane and we ended up back in Kihei without seeing the beach or the sunset.     ... and snorkelling. Lots of fish varieties (Sargent Major, butterfly fish, pipefish, goatfish, angel fish, unicorn fish, damsel's) and we were also greeted by a Honu (Green Sea Turtle) amazing time in the water.

    ... packed lunch. Next stop was Koki Beach. We took a walk along the park and headed on our way. The next stop was planned to be the Haleakala National Park. The park has the seven pools waterfall. When we drove by we noticed that there was no water running to the pools. So rather than pay the $15 per person, we bypassed the park and headed on.     ... delighted to see the amazing views into the crater and of Maui in every direction. The hike was challenging as we dipped into the edge of the crater later in the day when the light was less bright and more golden.
