    This is an extra entry for today. After a great lunch we decided to eat in. Denise found a recipe that had pineapple and beef that sounded good. Fresh pineapple slices also went on the BBQ. So then came the problem. After making the patties we decided to walk to the beach and to the North Villas before dinner. Came back about an hour later and started to cook.     ... able to swim in one. There were dramatic shorelines, pounding surf, lava tubes, and black sand beach, not to mention coconut ice cream. A long day of driving but simply blown away by the scenery.

    Sharon and Gary and Myra and I had dinner at 'Mama's Fish House'. This was a new experience for all of us and the view and food were outstanding. a define place to repeat.

    ... pick up nick from work so drive around town and got to see Lahaina touristy area it's really beautiful though. The next day it was all me everyone was at work so I decided to have an adventure day, I went and organized my dives which I was stoked about, then went and organized for that day a whale watching tour at 4pm to watch the sunset.     ... in Maui I have long, wild and memorable dreams. Perhaps because it is so easy to relax here. The temperature ranges from 24-31 degrees Celsius, never too hot or too cold. We are lucky enough to be in Hawaii long enough that we don't feel compelled to rush around jamming activities in before our vacation ends. Pacing is drastically different here than at home.

    ... the shirts..on the road trip we were constantly driving through sugar cane...fields and fields of it. Reminds me of the movie Field of Dreams, but as Paul pointed out, that was corn! Lucky so much sugar is grown here. It's needed to sweeten absolutely everything! As we wound our way around the coastline and across the island, the black clouds on the mountain were signalling impending showers. At the time we didn't think anything about it!!!
