... on the large restaurant windows, we
recounted our evening’s escapades, and Olga pulled out all her charm to get us
a late check out. The two of them headed out to the hot springs just outside
Sanya, and we headed up to catch up on some lost sleep, before we needed to
head to the train station.
At 4pm the bellboy called us up a cab, and
said the fee would be a flat 40 pounds. As the cabs sit waiting for a job,
... really tasty, but a bit chewy!
Sanya train station is still under
construction, with the promise of multiple restaraunts and stores in the coming
months. Skidding around the dodgy taxi drivers attempting to get us into
unlicenced cabs, we got in the massive queue for a taxi. We had taken a photo
of the name and address of our hotel in mandarin for the occasion, but the
gentleman in charge of the taxi line deleted the photo while ...
... is huge!!
Since this was off season, it was not too busy and we had no problem getting
into restaurants for dinner without making reservations.
The beach was disappointing for 2 reasons. One was the beach in front of the hotel was clean
and maintained but once past the resort, not so much-garbage, bottles, broken
glass littered the sand. It did not make walking the surf very enjoyable. The second reason was ...

-First, I got to watch the Superbowl! Granted, that sucker started at 6:30 in the morning which was rather miserable but I did get to go watch it! I actually had to take the day off from work and met up with Rhonda at The Camel! We were surrounding by drunken neanderthals who, to sum up a few of their greatest accomplishments, asked for our leftovers, apologized for spitting on me and passed out by half-time. Winners.
