Much better than the civilized world :) Sunday, July 06 2014 Woke up to a beautiful campsite! There was a breeze, and a large rock to eat breakfast on. I am amazed at how beautiful the state of New York is. I think you always think of the city and forget about the state. We came through Geneva and Seneca valley on the way to Watkins glen. It overlooked Seneca lake and was lined with vineyard after vineyard all overlooking the lake at varying heights. It was very nice and extremely ...

Historical Traveler Reviews Mt. Haven Resort & Restaurant Milford
We stayed in one of the dream cottages at Mt. Haven on October 8 and 9th, 2005.
This was our second stay at Mt. Haven. We rented one of the cabins this time (last time we booked one of the Villas) from June 27th to July 1st. Although it's not the Ritz, we had a wonderful stay and the value was great. The room was large. We had a screened in porch, which we used mostly in the morning and at night (without worrying about being attacked by the bugs). The bathroom was very large with a whirlpool tub. There was also a gas fireplace within the room that we didn't use since it was summertime.
Best Kept Secret
My wife and I were looking for a quick getaway from New York. Took a two hour drive to Milford PA and we were in a different world. Milford is a charming little town situated right on the Delaware full of art galleries victorian homes and Antique stores. We stayed as Mt Haven, evidently a family run business where we were treated to Beautiful grounds, clean comfortable room and spectacular food. After two days there we felt totally relaxed and didn't have to go to an airport to get the job
Wonderful country resort
Great service. Great food. Been there 3 years in a row. The holiday season is especially romantic. We love it!
We love this place, stayed there many times over the past five years. It's not a 5 star resort, it's a quaint family run place. The food is absolutely excellent, friendly atmosphere, and reasonably priced. They have been upgrading there rooms and cabins lately. The staff has always been very helpful and we will continue staying here.

Great Christmas season at Mt.Haven. The Sunday Brunch was wonderful
I was at the Sunday Brunch on Sunday Dec.12th 2004,the food and service was excellent. The place looked beautiful, decorated for the Christmas season, it felt so warm and cozy. The Santa that greeted the children was outstanding,he was so friendly and joyful. A great time was had by all, and I'd like to thank all the staff for making it a joyful day. Sincerely, Diane Fialo and Famiy.
My husband and I went to Mt. Haven 2 yrs. ago and stayed in the cabin with a jacuzzi. It was woodsy, and perfect for a weekend getaway. The restaurant food was superb! We loved the fact that it was not like a NYC hotel, but a quaint PA, in the woods kind of place. Exactly what we were looking for! We had our own secluded cabin and it was in the fall when the leaves were at their peak. We will be going back again!
I stayed at Mt. Haven several years ago and am quite surprised that they have received some good reviews. I will say that I stayed in 1998; apparently they refurbished it in 2000.
The resort was great. I would go back there again if fact I'm looking to take my kids there
