    Home At Last!..... And Some Observations

    ... mention bear frequent the asphalt highways. The grazers come to get their mineral fix by licking the remnants of winter salt off the asphalt. Bear graze near the highways. Yes, they are great to view and take pictures of but not so great to have lying inside your vehicle after a collision.

    So I think that's all the wisdom I can impart at the moment. If you choose to travel to Alaska or western Canada, slow down, enjoy the flora and fauna and most of all- have a great time!

    So this is the big day, the start of the three to five day Laugavegur. It usually takes four days, but I am hoping to complete the trek in three days, and then continue with the walk from Thorsmork to Skogar, weather permitting.
