... viewpoint looking down over Emerald Bay & Fanette Island (only island in entire lake.) Beautiful views.

Returned to our motel for lunch on our balcony and then drove around eastern shore to Fire Lookout Road (above casino) in Incline Village where one walks UP a paved road for a 1/2 mile to a trail at the top with interesting signs about lake's history, This trail actually starts in Nevada & you walk into California - so aptly ...

We used to get together all the time when I was a kid, but we all moved away. It meant a lot to see all ...

... house - man, what a house! Nancy and Bill live in a beautifully decorated home with a great view of Reno. We had a delicious steak dinner together.

Friday 7/12 Nancy, Becky, and I headed to Truckee, CA. It was a beautiful drive from Reno. Shopped a bit, then went to lunch at Moody's (excellent fish sandwich and hamburgers). Continued shopping for a while - this place had some memories for Becky ...

Every other day La has given me a couple of hours off to head out for a little ride. This time has been all important for me: - to see the area from another perspective, - to recharge for the inevitable and sometimes relentless kid-time. As you have seen by the San Fran pics my obsession with bridges, which I had warned you of in an earlier blog: The Golden Gate is an interesting bridge. When you first arrive, she frustrates you ...
