... information to the park indicated there are some 10 000 different plant species at Beacon Hill.Trees dominate the park landscape. Native and exotic trees of all ages (some 400 year olds), sizes and shapes are intermingled with beautiful water features. There was a petting zoo and wandering everywhere were ducks, geese, sea gulls, peacocks and to top it off there was even an enormous watering can. Beacon Hill park is a free gift to the people ...

A day of rest looms today, after a good nights sleep, but a bit of a sleep in as we put the clocks forward 1 hour last night.
Pamela but very interesting still not feeling to well today and has spent the day in the resting position.g.
I went upstairs for breakfast had it with a very nice American couple we exchanged our tour stories, had plenty of laughs, and food to top it off. Had a good roam around the vessel, went to the complex area ...

... br> our final night at the Empress we are eating the Empress Room, last night was a more casual meal on their veranda, it was so sunny that they issued us with dark glasses till the sun went down. A perfect sunset with no wind and no insects.
The final night was formal in that I was asked to wear a collared shirt - don't I always.
Baronial hall with high decorated ceilings. We had halibut which is a lovely fish we do not have in Sydney. A great finish to our stay in Victoria

... t even stamp the value on all of their coins. Means that tourists like us stand trying to ready the right coins, only to find that once they add in the tax you need to fumble for yet more. The lady at the donut van tried to convince us that the $10 notes were not only plastic (she wasn't impressed at Australia for introducing them either), but manufactured to smell like maple syrup. Now that would be a neat trick. Just hope they don't manufacture the $20 note to smell like ...

I know, we are seniors too and thankfully we can move quicker than our bus mates. So, because we sat at the back of the bus, we had a 15 minute wait to get off the bus. No biggie because ...
