A bit about the history of the Camino de Santiago

... for the meaning of "Compostela." It may have come from the Latin Campus Stellae meaning "field of the star" or compositum meaning "burial ground." Another name for the Camino de Santiago is "the Milky Way" because when walking at night, the milky way can be seen directly overhead. A compostela is also the certificate of achievement given to pilgrims on completing the journey.

... of champagne as a nightcap with Gay and Bob had them tucked up in bed and us with our dancing shoes on..... The Irish pub had a great band on and lots of "chair" dancing saw us ready to find some more entertainment. Being the party animals that we are, had us sitting at the bar watching the mutton dressed up as lamb!!! OMG... ... it was utterly delicious. Plus the tea (I had the Empress blend) was good, and there was lots of it. Following on from that, and to celebrate completing my Canadian journey/mourn my time in Canada being over, I booked a table for dinner in the Bengal Lounge which serves really nice cocktails and a three course Indian buffet.

... place looks like a old building that was renovated long ago. It is the same style inside. The desks are slightly tilted and mainly all brown. If you look carefully, there is a hidden door in a wall on the fourth floor. Inside the small room there is a ladder. If you climb the ladder to the top you will find a small standing area and that is where you will teleport to the land of Jrshen.

... there was another nearby, he told me there wasn't. Hardly surprising, I guess, when he could get $20 out of me! Unfortunately for him I decided to walk a little further and found it. Needless to say we didn't go to his shop next time we needed something!
