Brilliant blue sky. 20C
After eating the cherries we bought at the Granville Island Markets for breakfast we headed down our street to the bus stop on Douglas St. We caught the 9 am bus which was a direct bus to Butchart Gardens. So easy and much cheaper than the coach often suggested. We showed our day pass, so it was just $2.50 each way for the 50 min trip. Wouldn't that be nice in Sydney!
It was so great to get there at that time as the coach tours hadn't arrived ...

... were unpacking our gear at the Helm's Inn, located just off the harbor. Despite the sun still hanging low in the perfect blue sky, it was around 11pm in our circadian internal clocks and our energy levels were waning.
