If one day needed to be great weather it was this day and we got it! It was sunny and cool yet not cold. We started the day at the Dunkin down the road from the hotel. They had great sandwiches and hot chocolate which I promptly burned my tongue on by trying excitedly to sip it through a straw.

This included a visit to the little gift shop, look out terrace and a glance at the weather station.
The return trip down was a little anti-climactic as we were somewhat prepared for the road conditions, and welcomed the climate change from low 30's back to the warm 80s!
If you get the chance, get up there and visit the summit. It'll be an experience I won't forget and am pretty sure you won't either
It rained all night long. We could hear the sound of the rain hitting the metal back plate of the AC unit in the window. As we laid in the darkness mom thought the sound was the AC unit itself.
