    After a 4 hour drive we arrived in sunny Napa Valley. Our hotel was beautiful with our own balcony overlooking vineyards. For an hour each evening there's free wine and cheese!! We both got so drunk Faye couldn't drive anywhere and I was not in a fit state to sit in a restaurant!! The result was Dominos pizza ordered to our room - a low point! ...

    ... C******nay, hence my purchase of the before stated bottle for her. Mostly, what I can share is that the tastings in SA are great. Here they range between $15 to $40. The amount is minuscule. And you cannot get food at any of the farms, apparently there is a law about it - who knows the reason. Why do we not do an annual pilgrimage to the cape for a wine purchasing expedition.     We had accumulated enough quarters in our travels to each have a decent length shower ($1 per 3min).  Then it was off to the start of the Silverado Trail to find somewhere to eat breakfast before starting the wine trail.  We found Cafe Sarafornia where we both opted for some oat pancakes with orange butter, fruit and lots of syrup.  Delicious!
