Another great day in Calistoga with the Hellers. In the morning, we joined Joan and Steve at Grace Episcopal Church in St Helena for Sunday's service: Ariana and Elena experienced it as part of their Catechesis program. What a welcoming community!

Ariana took her first French test in the afternoon and we are happy we were able to send it remotely to ...

On arrival at Napa Valley Expo we found, once again, an excellent facility to spend our week. We have been VERY fortunate (thanks to Bonna's diligent pre-trip work) in that the first three 'camping' locations on this trip have been EXCELLENT. Good ...

... home about. The next winery on the tour was one of my favs, Mumm Napa. It is all about the bubbles! This was an awesome winery because not only did we get to try 8 different champagnes, but we could enjoy the glass we liked most in their art gallery, which happened to be featuring Ansel Adams. The last stop on our Napa Valley wine tour was the Folie A Deux/Menage Trois winery. We were excited about this winery because we typically buy the popular red wine in stores, ...

... going through the processing plant. They have these very interesting plants that look like cauliflower or kale so I had to take pictures of them. On the way up the gondola, Lisa pointed out a waterfall but it was a water fountain. It was so funny considering this was BEFORE we had consumed any wines. In the end, I also got to try the reserve wine which was very smooth. After six wines in one vineyard, I have to say that the bathroom and water was ...
