... filled with duck water!......... but we like this quiet place for a one night or two stop over. Abrams Lake Mobile Home and RV Park is located in the shade of tall Ponderosa Pines, offers full hookups, WiFi and a 54 channel cable TV lineup for as many as a dozen travelers and a bargain price of $29 a night. We lay low for the balance of the day and enjoy the peace, quiet and wonderful smells of the forest that surrounds us.
... temps. The day went well even across the high prairie, averaging speeds around 15-17 mph. Unfortunately I had to get on the I-5 for about 8 miles to enter Oregon. Between the unrelenting grade and the noise but at that point someone should have slapped butter on me because I was toast. So I ended up with the hardest part of the day after it soared well over 90. It felt like I was trying to push my way through hot taffy, as I climbed at 4 mph. On the up side ...

That evening, we pigged out on the beef brisque that Uncle Mike had cooked in his cast-iron dutch oven via firepit in the ground. Soooooooo delicious....Later, I put my new camelback bladder into my new hiking backpack, which Logan took to go exploring & also used to pretend to be a fireman. #ultimatecuteness.
