    Our first day of driving took us from Ashland, Oregon, to Placerville, California; a distance of about 350 miles. Roxy is getting a little over 30 mpg! With her 15+ gallon gas tank we should not have too many worries about running out. But, I will still consult my AAA and GasBuddy apps on a regular basis.

    Our drive on Saturday February 28th took us through Sacramento into the Sacramento Valley. It's pretty similar to the San Joaquin Valley we drove through on Friday. It's much greener so I presume they get more rain here!

    ... and make friends with some puppies. The sun is growing increasingly warmer and heating up the city quick so we find ourselves down by the water again doing some last minute souvenir shopping. With some newly purchased Cowboy hats on our heads we spend our last hour checking out Ghirardeli Square and snacking on the delicious chocolate samples. An exhausting walk back to the hotel in the heat and we are ready to depart.
