... return home. We were thrilled to say the least. We stayed at the Alpine Lodge in Mt. Shasta, solid establishment and certainly one of the most well priced hotels in town. This has been a nice relaxing place to zero and catch up on all the blogs entries that need attention. Thanks Mt. ...

... Mt. Shasta including a full blown tour of what's-what and price inquiries at all the promising hotels. We ended up staying at the Alpine Lodge, one if the more hiker priced and quality establishments in town. By the time we checked in and set our bags down it was only 6:30 pm. After lunch, I got a lot more energy. We decided to hike up the meadow more and we found the waterfall. It was beautiful and the energy there was awesome.

I felt drawn to keep hiking up alongside the waterfall as I could see a path. Somehow I had the energy to keep going, and we made it to the top. I wanted to see ...

... that day too. The water was delicious!

All in all it was a successful day but the hike was brutal. I won't be doing it again. but it was my dream to hike up there and we were successful. We saw some great views of Mount Shasta in the distance too.

We ended the day by stopping at Hedge Creek Falls, which is just off the freeway. Its a small waterfall that you can walk behind. I also included a couple pictures of that.
