Monte Carlo Resort And Casino Las Vegas

4h drive to Vegas from LA. Lots and lots of light (and casinos) everywhere...We managed to get a great deal at the Monte Carlo. All the hotels have different themes e.g. the Venetian (Venice), Paris, Caesar's Palace (Rome), Luxor (Egypt), etc. Saw the fountain show outside the Bellagio and the volcano show at the Mirage. Whole load of other types of shows within the hotels like Blueman group, Magic shows, etc.

After a well needed sleep, we were up at 6.00am watching the Brazil v Australia game - such a fantastic game! Disappointing that we lost, but played brilliantly against the #1 favourite. KATIE: First of all sorry this has taken so long to update.. we have been really bad! so when we were in MExico we found a good price for a flight to LA, then an even better price for a flight to Las Vegas and as Jason's 30th birthday was approaching we thought it would be a good idea to head there to celebrate. We took an airport shuttle to the hotel (around $5.50 each plus tip), and headed to find the Tahiti Village representative. We made an appointment to go get the sales pitch (Sunday at noon), and got all of our free stuff minus the $200 chips, which we will get after the presentation. We went to the Monte Carlo's buffet to eat breakfast, even though we woke up early Vegas time (we were 3 hours ahead), they were people sitting in the casino playing and drinking.
