      ... undergoing repair works. We were even allowed on board which was a bonus. There is also a restored 1841 whaling boat. They have replicated a maritime village from the early 1800's with original buildings from the area. It's still bloody cold and thank goodness for my beanie with a peak.

      ... couple of road signs that said 'Thickly Settled', which I was mystified by (are they talking about my waistline?) It turns out that it means densely populated and you must not drive more than 30 mph. Who knew?

      The end of the day brought us to Mystic, CT. We walked around a bit as the sun was going down, catching some beautiful light and chatting with a road-tripping couple from Seattle. They have a motorhome and are spending a year on the road. I'm envious.
