Jim and I visited the Living Desert in Palm Desert. The attraction has a vast array of desert plant life, many birds - including birds of Australia where we were able to get up close and personal, animals of North and South America and of Africa.

Today was a 1:00 shotgun at San Gorgonio golf course at Sun City, after a morning workout. Everyone a little stiff from yesterday - I still don't have my golf muscles back yet. ... and visited the Date Museum and 1909 Schoolhouse. Did you know the sod for the Super Bowl comes from here each year and it's a big deal when the trucks roll out with it? We have not googled to confirm said fact and Denis thinks some Super Bowl fields may be astroturf but she was so informative. After that a visit to a Shields Date Farm to have an amazing date shake. Had one in 2008 when here and tried two locations and found Shields to be the best. ...

Monday October 21st.....9:45 a.m. Back home In Palm Desert.

In all my years in business I believed strongly in team work. I knew that if people could set aside their own selfish goals and work to help others that the team's results would be exceptional. Once in a very rare while I got to experience that kind of team work in the work place. And, I was as guilty as anyone else from time to time in losing sight of the team work goal.

Along with those two beauties, I was able to see my aunt Dolly in whom I was able to connect on an absolutely wonderful level. She's darling I tell you. We went out to dinner, all three of us and she kept the silence to a minimum which i was sincerely grateful for.
