This resort is a well oiled machine. Good, clean ablution blocks, nice menu and meals at the restaurants. Only negative is that they really pack campervan and tents in, there's not much room. However, we had a really great stay!

End of an era on the west coast

A travel blog entry by faraway-fantasy on Jul 02, 2014

I just realised it has been a while since my last blog so I thought i'd better catch up quickly before I get too far ahead that my next blog is a published book! So this is a little backdated but I will try and catch up whilst I have a few spare days sitting in a hammock overlooking the beach and listening to the waves crash around the rocks ;) …

Today we went to see the dolphins in the morning, they're so pretty. We went to Francois Peron National Park and visited an Artesian Water Hot Tub that the boys jumped in, then went out to Big Lagoon for a lookie. We went into Denham for fish and chips for lunch then went back to the resort for happy hour (again, haha) Made the most of our time in the area :)

Minimal messing around in the morning, up, fed, and on the road again. We stopped in at Hamelin Pool, got halfway up the boardwalk before getting absolutely drenched with rain, impromptu cardio sesh running back to the car, struggling to breathe because I was laughing so much. A quick drive through Denham then out to Monkey Mia to check in to the …

When in Geraldton, one must go see the Abrolhos Islands, so we did.

We woke up early morning and rang the air charter. There was room for two more on the morning flight departing at 9 am. So a quick breakfast and checkout later we were ready for take off from Geraldton.

The weather had turned in our favour with scattered clouds at …
