In the long distant past they were carnivorous predators, but they switched to 99% bamboo diet. They also have red pandas, which are a very different species than giant pandas. This place is basically dedicated to pandas only and is not really a zoo in that sense since you won't find the typical elephants, giraffes, and lions found at other facilities.
