    ... was closed. Pity! Perhaps we should have opted for the boat ride which would have stopped just in front of the Buddha but we kind of missed that. Nevertheless it was a fun day trip (despite the bus breaking down for an hour on the way back).

    The day after the next we continued our China trip to Jiuzhaigou. We enjoyed Chengdu (and it's spicy hot pots) and thought that it's quite a nice city with quite a few things to do.

    ... party at are hostel. It was fun and brought every1 together. We also a competition for the best dumpling which i brought home for the team winning a cocktail of my choice. From there lets just say it got messy. My first night on the sauce since traveling and got steamboats. Met a few folk then Javaid and I went to get some famous rice wine.     ... the city centre haha. (thats the negative side of traveling without guidebooks and "going with the flow" :) ) our view of chendgu was less negative after that), the parks, read a lot, when out at the irish bar, got lost trying to find an english bookstore, found it but it was too expensive for old books.

    And on the 13th, we finally arrived in Chongqing.
