          ... the next 8 months.

One woman asked us what we had seen of Scottsdale. We laughed and said, "Absolutely nothing!" and felt no shame in that. I'm sure it is a beautiful city, but we needed some relaxation time and I think we were all tired of sightseeing in the desert. We have loved our time in the SW USA, but we are ready to move on. A couple of days in San Diego and then off to the OTHER SIDE OF THE WORLD! Wow!

We hope you are all well.

That is exactly what Paul Frienso, a tall handsome outgoing man, did when he ordered him and and a few of his friends to remove their chairs from the sidewalk. “Why” asked Paul? “Who are we bothering?” - How dare would this retired guy from the Boston Globe, a well-known enemy cop newspaper, question the authority of a state agent - Rancid’s power extended over everything ...

... till he gets back to MA! I went to Lowe’s for some things I needed for the house and had enough on a gift card to buy all of it! Stopped and talked to friend Jerry and found that Vickie is evicting him in a few days-he has no car, no money, is sick-just nowhere to go if he were well enough to leave. Don’t know how to help him. Later out to dinner at My Big Fat Greek for our usual good meal, then home.

... week we headed to the town of Prescott north towards the Grand Canyon . It's amazing what altitude can do to the weather, We wore sweaters and jeans and I was still a bit chilly at night but the town is at about 6,000 feet - there was snow in the hills!! The B&B was lovely and the town a real old western small town that had once been the territorial capital of the Arizona Territory - before it was a state. We went to the famous Palace Saloon.
