Chilling for a couple of days
So we've done nothing basically nothing which is just what we needed really. The restaurant on site is lovely. Breakfast is included and again is lovely. We’ve done the German thing and bagged our sunbeds with our towels at breakfast. I’ve read 3 trashy UK magazines and Darren has been reading Russel Brand’s booky wook 2. We’ …
A week on the beach
Not that this trip has been stressful or anything but we decided that koh phangan was gonna be a pure relaxation week for us. We booked into the milky bay resort in ban tai which is on the south of the island as the reviews were good and 6 days in a nice resort were just what the doctor ordered. Straight away we knew we were in for a treat as we …

Hello everyone,
We finally made it down south to Ko Pha Ngan! It took us 24 hours and consisted of the 4 methods of travel but it cost us less that $100 each and was so much fun!

Surviving Our Snorkelling Trip
Hello everyone,
Well we are at the end of our last day in paradise and what a day it has been! Before I go any further, let me tell you about the rest of our time (as there hasnt been much to tell!) These places just get better
So far the last four or five places I've stayed at I could easily have stayed there about a month or more, but every time I get to the next place I'm glad I convinced myself to keep moving on. They just seem to get better and better. This morning me and Luke moved from Haad Yao on the north side of Koh Phangan to Ao Ban Tai on the South. This …

We were picked up from the pier and transferred to the hotel. On arrival we were given a cold towel and a cold drink. Our room was very nice with a flintstone type bathroom - pebbles everywhere. Our only gripe was that we'd asked for a double bed and we were given 2 single beds pushed together. We asked for another room, but it was much older and characterless, so we stayed put.
The restaurant serve delicious food and most of the staff are great. There was one chap who whilst we were having a meeting kept coming over to randomly chat to us about nothing - quite annoying. He seemed to have no perception that we were talking. The wine list was laughable - out of 9 different white wines, they only had 1 in stock at £7 a glass.
The beach is virtually non existent until the tide goes out and there were quite a few jellyfish in the water in the afternoons.
We had been working for 26 days over xmas and NY, this was the perfect place to unwind and relax.
For some reason the hotel charge an extra 200 baht for the ferry to Koh Samui than Lomprayah. If need any boat tickets buy them yourself from the office at the pier.
All in all a great stay and would return if in Koh Phangan.
