    Hua Hin today is not what is used to be just a mere 14 years ago.
    Quaint and clean and the people were friendly, where has it gone? Today Hua Hin is plagued by a building boom second to none, Condos and Apartments everywhere mostly empty but nevertheless more are being built.
    Hua Hin that used to be the sleepy old town with friendly folks, and a bit of a rush on weekends as the well to do Bangkokians came down, had a special ambience and atmosphere.

    ... for several good reasons though. Firstly, the obvious being I was mounted on top of this massive beast with my five year old. Secondly we were being held in by a defunct strap which would have served more purpose being a decoration in a shop. Thirdly the seat was definitely tipping to the right and as I nervously looked round to inspect the nature of the strap attaching the seat to the elephant, it was a mere bit of rope, comforting;not!     ... me off. ie The heat/lack of air con and food... if you didnt train then you get bored during the day. 5 weeks was long enough for me personally. This is a bit obvious but the people that don't want to leave are the pro or amateur fighters. Which is not me obviously. Again I can not fault the camp really or anyone I met. And I met some great great friends. Thank you for this experience and even though I was pleased to leave I was sad at the same time. ...
