The Nilgiri Hills are known for tribal groups that have been left pretty much alone for hundreds of years. Some women, returning from the tea field at the end of the day, looked like they might be tribal women with an updated wardrobe. Since we were in Kotagiri, we assumed they were Kota tribe. Of course. So the reception sends me to their administration office to the hospital manager - and he barely speaks English. So he keeps asking me, "you want job here" I say "no Im a patient" so he says "Oh I see you need ambulance" ...

So because of that - I went today and took my fabric I bought yesterday to a tailor with basically no idea what I wanted. I had no time to research clothing as I was too busy researching whether or not I will die from a surgical procedure in India...What a great experience that was - these two Indian dudes, specializing in "Western Wear" - designed a dress and two shirts for me - he was whipping out these fashion terms ...
