This hotel is definitely looking run down and needs a complete face lift, but that is not why I have given it a one-star rating. They had a jazz festival on the grounds the last night of our stay in Papeete and the festival literally took over the whole hotel. The manager was no where to be found (as he was reportedly enjoying the festival). Finally, at 1:30 am, the festival ended and all the paying guests had a sleepless night. We've never experienced such blatant disregard for guests.

... for a surprise dinner they were going to cook for us. They planned on the go and they did not let us see what they were doing. What a great surprise. They set a nice table with candles and our famous red tablecloth (100% Polyester, Made in China, bought at Wal-Mart in Las Vegas the day we took the motorhome). Plus, they prepared it quite quickly and without making too much mess in the kitchen, well, only ...

... more, but restrained myself since we have plenty of other places to visit and will actually be back here with the cruise ship. Our rental car was a Renault, a small thing that served the purpose. It was also manual transmission. Thank you Mom and Dad for owning a stick shift! I discovered muscle memory is a great tool and only stalled the car when turning it on because I kept forgetting to depress the clutch! Moorea (Mow-ore-e-ah) is roughly heart-shaped. It was one ...

... t take more than 5-10 minutes so I was quite happy and felt better. The pain wasn't so bad and James finished my tattoo in less than 10 minutes and we were ready to go and explore the beauty of Moorea. James recommended us to apply Tamanu oil on our tattoos so we went to get some. It's their "gold" and they use it for nice and soft skin, hair and for instance for mosquito bites. When we got back from James we practically immediately jumped ...
