    South Lake Tahoe Day 4

    Today we hiked to Angora Lake which consists of upper and lower lakes. Once we reached our destination at 7340' elevation, we were surprised to see so many people, young and old, picnicking along the water's edge and actually swimming, rowing, and paddle boarding on the icy water. Snow still lines its sandy shores and Echo Peak majestically overlooks this aquatic playground. We enjoyed a picnic lunch on a nearby picnic table and Gary treated us to a pitcher of fresh ...

    ... coaster and not that pleasant. I felt I may have mild concussion after that one from all the shaking. We also rode V2 which was a lovely smooth ride launched forwards and back at speeds. Wandering to the other side of the park we did Medusa (our favourite- a longer coaster with plenty of aerobatics) and also Kong which was extremely fast with lots of rolls.

    ... covering so many miles! ........Perhaps I'm being a tad defensive? No the boat ride was just beautiful and really made me feel like I am on vacation. As you can see from the milage and feet I had a much easier day than previous days, and I should be able to make some better milage at least until I get to the next mountain pass (Mt. Lassen).
