      Today was spent driving from San Francisco to Bridgeport, through the Sierra Nevada. The roads here are really well maintained. What is good is that trucks need to drive 10mph slower than cars and they stay in the slow lane.       ... 8000 foot high hill, we met a ute picking up the dead skunk, guess that is their job, picking up dead stuff. Wish they'd do that in moolarben...

      There were two possible routes from Tonopah to Carson City, where we needed to go to either drop the trailer or drive home. We chose the route that we usually do not take, the one that goes over to Lee Vining in California to connect with highway 395.       ... get on; "way to go grandpa!" Ilya turns to me, bug-eyed with adrenalin, and says, "want to do it again?" There have been very few questions ever put to me where my answer was so certain.
