This was that valley- the one behind Christine in the photo. As you can see from the photos, this is a really wild coast, pounded by huge swells which have rolled all the way from Alaska. Let's go to lovely Lahaina on the Easy coast next time..... Richard and Christine

... is that they overdo the fish. Overkill with too much saucy fanciness. I'm a total purist and think that seafood should be simple so you actually taste the fish, not the spices or other **** they put on the fish to make it all fancy. So while the atmosphere was nice, the food is not worth the money. I'll take a food truck or hole in the wall fish and chips ...

... other side of the volcano is an area referred to as the "crater" because it looks like the surface of the moon. It also was very cool. Pictures do not do this justice. Funny how pictures - no matter how perfectly you take them, only capture a mere fraction of a beautiful life scene. All in all, the pictures of the garden of eden and the volcano views are great but nothing at all compares to the view in real life! Maui was great - we would love to go back.
