    ... I was in bed. This am I was to drive Pete to the airport but I was so groggy from the codeine he drove himself. So Aarons picked up the car.     ... 45 minutes) the wind was blowing so hard it made it difficult to open/shut the door and the black line was coming closer rapidly. The temperature dropped into the 30's. Bob wanted to try and outrun the forecasted 24 hours of wind so we headed north towards Amarillo about 20 miles away.     ... is too long but this was a beautiful area and it is strange to look out and be surrounded by mountains. It was also confusing on what city you were in since they all blend together...Phoenix, Scottsdale, Glendale, Mesa, Tempe and 3 or four others.
