    Ahh, the serenity!

The only reason I didn't give 5-stars is because we don't have a view of the ocean - but otherwise comfortable accommodation and friendly staff. We haven't had much of a chance to explore yet.

The resort is in an excellent location, walking distance to the beach but the room needs updating drastically !

If watching the sunset, while sipping wine on your balcony sounds like something you would like to do then i highly recommend Margarets Beach Resort.

With large apartments with fully equipted kitchens and a large living area they are perfect for couples, families or groups of friends travelling.

Needless to say, the ten of us made it down to Margaret River safely, and unloaded our cars, getting used to our home for the next few days. It was a very cute place with plenty of space for us all! It was around 5:00 when we arrived, so that evening we just got organized and went out to dinner. ...

We said goodbye to Dunsborough to make our way to Margaret River. I should point out that Margaret River is a river, it is also a town and is also a region. This is confusing to us foreigners but the Aussies do not have a problem with this. The region has a huge number of wineries. I am reliably informed that this region produces 3% of total Aussie wine but produces 20% of the premium wine. So the stuff here is good. Armed with this knowledge and as ...

The winery was owned by Michael Wright who set his mind on buying a winery and bought 'the Freycinet" in 1991, renaming it the Voyager. At one of the wineries there was a tree with sign of beware of the "drop bears" we had seen these signs before and were wondering what a "drop bear" was. Looking up into the tree was ...
