Wanting to save on airfare, we took Nok Air going to Koh Samui and then booked Bangkok Airways on our way out.

Chaweng is busy as ever totally different to Mae Nam but great crystal clear sea and soft white sand and loads of nightlife and the food is great.
Went to a Black Moon Party Monday night free entrance before midnight the music was great had a percussionist with one dj who was brilliant crowd loved it, place was packed we left at half one and people were still going in it went on until 0300.

Dave was in charge of booking the accommodation in Thailand. I'm very very thankful he booked us out of the main island of Koi Samui to a smaller island of Koh Tao. As our home for the next 3 whole days is on the other side of the island, we needed to take another boat to get there. Our resort which had our own private beach, the clearest and warmest water we have ever been in, only two other families staying here, our room is a bungalow nestled ...
... We woke the next day to a lovely morning and went to see what other facilities the hotel had to offer,,, it was actually situated on a nice beach which had been swept clean. We also had a lovely cool swimming pool and,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,, YES!!! You guessed it,,,!!!!!,all to ourselves again…..the only guests to use the facilities. There were actually a few other guests but they were either Chinese or maybe South Korean and often they do not use the beach or ...
How has this resort rated in the past?
Wouldn't call it '5 stars', but still nice. Communication with staff can be difficult because of the language barrier and when wet the steps and road up to the rooms are very slippery. But the food and pool are nice and the complimentary shuttle buses into town are really handy too.
