    ... you go" has always struck a chord with me, but I think I finally understand what it means. It's not that you really are leaving "a piece of yourself," it's more that that place actually comes with you. You have memories from it and it leaves a mark on you, therefore following you wherever you go. So I guess it's more the opposite of the phrase, but it still makes sense. I definitely feel that way about everywhere I've been.

    ... the CBD, the harbour, and an area called The Rocks. The Rocks is an old historical site that is now home to shops, restaurants, cafés etc and was probably my favourite part of the tour. It used to be known as the slums of Sydney in the 17- & 1800’s.
