... for 20 mins meant dodgy warm up, so took the first 2km to warm up, but felt great for most of the rest of the race. With 2km to go i suddenly realise i have a chance of getting my original goal (set last year). Eventually just missed it - Finished in 50:08. PB my nearly a minute and a half on last year and quite surprised given everything.

The best part was only having a few hundred metres to get back to accommodation for a shower and change. We then went ...

... didn't wake up until the plane landed...and it felt so amazing to be back home. To have power, to have a room to myself, a hot shower, electric toothbrush, a fridge with cold food, a sofa, tv, no randoms or creeps around, just feels amazing after all this time. Makes your appreciate the small things so much more. 4 day break in Brisbane then off to Bali for 2 weeks. Can not wait.

      Photos will be uploaded asap!

About $3500 of it I can account for on tangible items, necessities and worthwhile experiences. As extravagant as that is, the deficit is made up entirely of alcohol and the odd meal out (assuming I haven't been robbed, scammed or mugged ...
