... shell. Very clever park and a great one (we went back there a number of times). Very clean, well kept and kids area.
Back at the caravan park, they feed the lorikeets at 4pm, and boy do the lorikeets come. There were about 50 that came to have something to eat. Great fun, thankfully none perched themselves on us.
It was still nice and warm after this, so we headed to the beach, the kids had a swim, and Adam & Kylie had a surf ...
... The towns are small and far between. But they all were nice and had their own character.
We spent Brian's birthday in Mission Beach and ate Mexican. Not much was open but they had good food and drinks. Also, for his birthday we did the Great Barrier Reef (which I'll talk about soon). The time we spent in Mission Beach, we slept at the boat ramp. The first night, it was just us and another car, but by the third there was about 5 ...

oaks beach, Queensland, Australia toubi-anscha... in the midwest of the US. Travelers tend to only come here if they are searching for farming work. So these people stay in their hostels for longer periods of time, and the 2 that I saw really looked bad. Stuff was everywhere (people tend to spread out if they stay longer) and it was so dirty. I could not stay in any of those places, so I booked a single room in Motel Matilda. The owners were so nice. They said they would run me out to the turtles in their car ...
Bundaberg, Queensland, Australia andreat... sunset though, so we just found a little noodle shop for dinner. I guess with all the workers getting up really early, no one stays out late. And I didnt really need to either last night, after a few pretty late nights and early mornings in Rainbow Beach. Im only gonna be one night in Rockhampton as well, and then most of the next day. I have to get up to Airlie Beach soon, cause I have a sailing trip booked for Saturday morning.
Bundaberg, Queensland, Australia murf6481... The paperwork was completed, the inspection was performed; fridge/freezer and lockers looked through, turned out and fresh food taken. Not all our food was taken; things taken were frozen meat and chicken, eggs, fresh cheese, powdered milk, fresh veg and fruit. Things not taken, to my surprise, were frozen fish, tinned meat or fish, UHT milk, tinned fruit & veg, not even the old tins of Pork and Bean bought back in Panama City. I had everything out, everything that JJ and ...
Port Bundaberg, Queensland, Australia nancyjean... how happy I was when Lonnie signed my 'proof of work' form and left the dates blank for me to fill in! I won't exaggerate too much 'cos they check out 1 in 10 forms but it's nice to know I can get more days down without having to slog them out on another farm! Tomorrow Kon and I are heading off. We actually don't really know where we're going yet as we're both useless at planning but we'll get in the car and drive and see where we end up. I ...
Bundaberg, Australia hollister... no idea what I'm doing wrong! It's like a challenge to me now! Unless I start to make a little more money though I'm not sure this slave labour is really worth another visa that I might not even use... so much to think about over the next few days! Right, time to get on with all the other stuff I need to sort today 'cos I know I won't feel like doing any of it after work tomorrow! Hope everyone is well and any advice would be VERY much appreciated!
Jedenfalls ...
Bargara, Queensland, Australia anna_australiaAs a part of the Oz Experience (the backpacker tour bus that I'm taking down the coast) we were supposed to arrive at what they had described as a 5 star resort around 4:30 pm. I knew that the resort wasn't going to be 5 star, but they did fool me by abandoning us in a gas station in Rockhampton for 6+ hours due to mechanical difficulties. Some of the other passengers were livid, but my experiences in India and in ...
