... It was a bit creepy but interesting at the same time. We went to the Capitol building as well. They say it's the most beautiful capitol building in the country. Fronting the capitol is a man-made lagoon/lake with fishes, and the carabao statue at the side.

I also enjoyed wandering inside SM City Bacolod. The largest public mall in the city. Outside the mall are rows of barbecue stalls and fastfoods. I bought sunglasses and a souvenir keychain and had my ...

When we got to Bacolad we got a trike with a local to Check Inn where we would stay for the night but it was fully booked. I didn't get a ...

... than dirt. I guess I expected some relief from the sweltering heat outside. I supposed I expected babies to be wearing diapers, for mattresses to be on the beds, for there to be a place to store food where the ants could not reach... We visited one house where there was a sheet hanging from the beam above. There was a baby inside! Colorful pipe cleaners molded into shapes hung above this makeshift crib. I am learning how resourceful people are, when ...

... The idea is to eat all this with your hands. So, we mucked in like two little children devouring this lovely meal. The restaurant had big double sinks in the middle of it so when people finished eating, you could wash your hands. We enjoyed this so much, we went back again the second night we were in Bacolod to eat our Inasay chicken again.

Then we got ready to leave Bacolod and head to Sugar Beach. We had a taxi ...
