Doesn't everyone have to visit the location for The Beach film. Half day boat trip including sunset with snorkelling around Phi Phi Ley. Tried out my new spray for the masks and it must have worked like magic. The water was so crystal clear on the east side of the island and I saw lots of fish and coral. New coral had been planted in bags to improve the reef probably because of the bleaching which occurred when the Andaman Sea ...

Just as they got to the door and Paulie was about to knock, he re-confirmed ...

After another 22 hour journey, I arrived at Ko Phi Phi. I took the night train this time, and the bed was pretty comfy so managed to get some sleep. In the meantime, someone had gone through my bag. luckily nothing of any value had been taken. But still, shook me up abit.

The island was gorgeous though, crystal clear blue sea, great limestone cliffs, white sandy beaches. The main town where I stayed was very touristy, full of ...

    Maya bay 'the beach' trip

... completely liberated! I laid back and floated on the surface just looking up to the clear blue sky. It was simply beautiful. We then went further round the island and did some snorkelling. As we got in the water the boat driver fed the fish who appeared all at once all around you, so close they touched you and got right up in your snorkel mask!! They were brightly coloured blues, yellows, ...
