... past us with people from our boat on. It was at this point we remembered there were about a dozen kayaks on our boat that we could have easily used rather than swim to the shore! Fifteen minutes later we eventually reached the island which, like Maya Bay, was full of tourists. However, we decided we would walk around the corner which, amazingly, nobody else had thought to do. Here we couldn't see any other people and felt like we had the whole island to ourselves. We enjoyed ...

7:00 AM start for me. Drove moped on totally deserted roads(amazing beach side road for a few km) to dive shop for pickup. Then the boat ride to Phi Phi area.

Anyway less of the future and more on now. When we first arrived here I was very ...

... weeks, there was also a lovely Portuguese couple who were on their honeymoon, they spoke really good English. We headed for Maya Bay first. The sea was pretty flat but every so often a speed boat would fly past and it would make our little boat rock really badly and I didn't like it at all. We got to Maya Bay just in time as I was starting to feel ill. I'm not really sure what I expected but it was beautiful, whiter than white sand and the bluest water, the ...

    "The Beach"

A travel blog entry by nlmiller55 on May 15, 2014

At 2pm we was gathered up by the guide from our guesthouse. A short walk through the island and we was at the pier. We loaded into the longtail boat (Again, we're sick of going in these things).

We set off for Koh Phi Phi Le which can be seen from PP itself. But our first stop was at "Monkey Beach" where we jumped off the boat onto a small beach on the edge of the island. (Only accessible by boat)
