The day started well, with us going into the mountains for the day - LuShan Mountain to be exact. Its 1200m high, and there are only a certain amount of cars allowed up from 1000m. So we arrived at base, transferred our stuff and then hopped into the van.... and thats when we discovered we had hired a driver who thought he could use the 'Force' for his driving skills - Darth Vader Force that is...If you ever see this man, do not get in a car with him... there ...

Then the bus driver drove right past Lushan! We had to make a half hour detour to drop some people off in Jiujang before we went up the mountain. I would've been better off going straight to Jiujiang from Changsha. It was very confusing for me because when I asked why ...

The hostel isn't very nice. The bathrooms, dorms, and beds leave a lot to be desired. And given that we are paying what we were paying two nights ago, it seems a bit ridiculous. But there really wasn't much choice. When we first arrived at our hotel two nights ago, we requested three nights. Only two, she said. Blast! So we went on a long, fruitless search for a hotel that would take us on the night of 1 October. ...

As we continued to get some accomodation arranged we tried numerous hotels (There were no hostels) and we were shooed away from every one. Turned out foreigners were not welcome in many and would not be accepted in anything more than a 3* hotel. We eventually found one which was very dated and stunk of cigarette smoke, however luxury compared to the school.

Breakfast was interesting....something we all looked forward to, however were faced ...
