This was almost a 500 mile "Day Trip" but it was a beautiful drive, especially since they had a good snow fall last night!! Plus we needed a distraction today after the kids left!!
... from a farmer's yard, we stopped. We found some fresh steelhead at Costco, (of course, it was enough for several meals.) and bought it for dinner. John cooked it on our little grill and the whole meal was delicious. After dinner, we walked down to Edna Lake at the Nisswa Resort to watch the sunset. It is still warm in the evenings in the Midwest, which makes them quite pleasant.

Last night we stayed at the Porcupine Wilderness State Park in Ontonagon, MI. Had a site right on Lake Superior. Arrived just before it stormed. Lots of people camping in tents and there we were sitting in our motor home nice and dry watching a movie and eating popcorn! Too bad for the rain, we were hoping to see the Northern Lights.
... Seen at least 3 signs that said "Coon Dog Cemetary". Thought that was kind of odd until Del almost hit a Coon Dog in Corinth, MS. Had to stop at the Piggly Wiggly in Alabama. What a genuine treat. Went down the Ricketts Highway in MS. Thought it was kind of odd to name a highway after a disease that you lead the nation in. We both had opportunities to swap our bikes today. Mine for a decked out Caddy. Del's for a trailer house in Memphis. Decided against it on both ...
... curves - no exaggeration. 322 miles, over 1100 so far total. Highlights: Once we hit Arkansas, we went through the must-see tourist towns of Yellville, Ralph, Mull, Loafers Pride and Timbo.
