Day 65, Finally Dissected A Fish

A travel blog entry by juliocamperio on Sep 11, 2014

Usual day at work. Lots of work to do because Ruben and Anotio had the day off. did the usual feeding with siphoning, then helped another Anotnio to move 12 200-liter tank next to our lab for his research. After that Jesus needed some extra hands with dissecting his Tilapia he has been raising for his research. We had to cut with a pair of scissors form the anal cavity to right under their lower jaw, cut the large intestine and slowly ...

Day 64, Our Early and Gone on Errands

Usual day at work, I was able to get out early so I can go to the Extranjeria department and try and get my permit of citizenship for cheaper travel. Had to buy weist traps with buckles and go to a leather store where they could ahve fixed it. Also had to have fixed 2 zippers that had broken in the past.

I obviously had to tell nearly everyone at work what happened to my forehead and cheek, but thats the price you pay for having fresh scars on your face.

... of helped. So I had a jellyfish sting with a bruised forehead and cheek while under the blistering hot sun. I then exited the water, headed to the shade of the tarp, rinsed the wounds with fresh water and applied an anti-bacterial cream.
I also "developed" a cooler for our water that was getting hot even under the shade. Dig a hole in ...

Day 62, Water Activities in Guayedra

... became a rock, a fish or something "not too important" to them, it was very cool.
On my way back to beach I heard a loud noise, similar to a stick breaking or the cracking of a knuckle: that was a jellyfish shooting its stingers against my shoulder. I did not have to pee at the time, so I used the vegetable oil that was in the tuna-can, it worked just as good. ...
