I quite enjoyed Puerto Vallarta. I know its super touristy but it's big enough that the city seems to absorb it fairly well and on weekends many Mexicans flock here, blending with the scores of Canadians and Americans, searching for sun, warmth, the ocean and good times. Everybody mixes here and the vibe is generally very positive.
