... games. We then drove to the "Historic District". Beautiful scenery surrounded the White River but the 'historic' part left a lot to be desired. It was really an outdoor strip mall with many contemporary stores. Steve and the kids enjoyed go-karting to end the evening. ... lots of mini golf and various entertainment shows. Thankfully, our campground was on the edge of town and we managed to avoid all the junk! Rain threatened just as we were setting up camp, but, thankfully, it avoided us. We are at Susie's and will be staying here until next week and we have decided to go to Death Valley next week. We have never been there and the weather is pretty decent this time of year. Mickey Gilley {the original "Urban Cowboy" and cousin to 1950's rocker Jerry Lee Lewis and Evangelist Jimmy Swaggart}, among others, developed the area into a real entertainment/recreation destination.
