... it did highlight the plight of these fantastic creatures. We were given
a feedback form and asked to sign a petition which was to be sent to the
government to try and get this callous behaviour outlawed…… the one thing I put
in the suggestion box was that from now on it would be better to show the
distressing video first instead of at the end of the day.

Other than that though it was well worth every penny and we
highly recommend to anyone ...

i have genuinely been the MANAGER of a hostel for five days. not just working there, checking people in, doing emails, taking the guests around the city, driving to the temple to see Aoi everyday and update her, handling money the whole thing. I have three staff... an adorable cleaner who is priceless but speaks NO english, A who takes the day off if he wants to and Nong who is always drunk and hopeless by 7pm. ... every night in Chiang Mai in another part of the city, which sells much the same stuff aimed at tourists, but we much preferred the Sunday market – we had to prompt the sellers on the occasions we’d want to know ‘how much’ instead of being practically chased by them like at the night market! Plus, with the size of it, you always had some space to yourself so it was a good way to spend a Sunday evening!
