At dinner time our last roommate finally arrived! We were excited to finally meet her. She’s from Pennsylvania and working on the nutrition project with VFV and is here for 2 months. She seems like she’ll do just fine here in the Philippines. She saw her first lizard ...

... about Philippine health care, insurance, normal patient care for the country, etc... I asked a ton of questions and learned so much. At noon, the doctor asked us to join her and the staff for lunch at the home of another local doctor. We joined them and had a great lunch and conversation. The only creepy part was the WHOLE pig they had as the main course. I got more nausous looking at that than I did helping deliver a baby - go figure.
