... breakfast of eggs and bread, we put our walking shoes on and went for it. We wanted to walk around the whole island, which shouldn't take more than a few hours (according to the book) and we began our walk through the tiny little village next to the resort, saying hi to all the local kids, before the village stopped and we were walking along a path than ran parallel to the ocean. I had my first close up encounter with a thresher ...

... pick up or drop off anyone along the way. Yesterday it took them 3 hours to get to the clinic and they were both on edge by the time they arrived back. Today we were lucky to catch a van just as it was leaving and it took about an hour to get there. In the front seat… dead or alive, I couldn’t tell, tied up chickens. I didn’t mean to see them, but I did and I dwelled on it the entire ride.
