This was my first time to Vegas. I went with my mother. There was this pizza place in the mall near California Pizza Kitchen that was great. Just a little place, but the pizza was so good!

The Las Vegas Hilton had a nice and large casino. There were a lot of options for people like me who didn't want to spend a lot of money gambling. I also saw Scott Ian while I was checking in. We ate at Bennihana's one night. It was good and this is the largest Bennihana's in the world, or so I was t...

Las Vegas

Well, after many hours of driving (~6 in all) we made the trip from Sedona to Hoover Dam and then Las Vegas. The dam was pretty cool and the water looked very inviting. By the time we pulled into Las Vegas it was 4 pm and 113 degrees F. We drove up and down the strip looking for parking until we got to the Las Vegas Hilton. We went in to go on the Star Trek Experience. It was fun - they trick you into thinking you're just going on a simulator, and next thing you know, you've been abducted to ...

Historical Traveler Reviews of Las Vegas Hilton

Superb Value

from sleepytopcat
Our recent stay at the Hilton was booked from an advert we saw while staying in San Diego and proved astonishingly good value. $63 for a superb room with 2 shows & 2meals thrown in as well. Very hard to beat! We also stayed at the Orleans which was equally good value.

THIS IS " THE REAL VEGAS " !!!!!!

If you have not been to Vegas but you fantasize about what it will be like.... luxury , first class service , neon, the whole works than the Las Vegas Hilton is for you. After reading the revues about Vegas on this site I got the impression that i would be greated by surly rude hotel staff , a dirty room and bad buffets , so I was shocked when arrived and found our experience so fantastic ! Driving up to the Las Vegas Hilton you immediately feel that super charged blend of energy and excitement wrapped in class! The frront desk agent was not only polite, he was friendly and accomodated our request for a room on the 26th floor. The food was excellent at the Margarita grille, Quarks and the buffet however the bartender and cocktail waitress at the margarta grille are very rude and theres one nasty bartender at the startrek bar named Sam, other than that the las vegas hilton is awesome! Starwars Hilton (great)

Have stayed here many times. Great food, Great comps. Great atmosphere, just which it were closer to the strip.....

Fantastic value

We chose the Hilton for it's value and the Star Trek Experience. From checking in at the airport, to flying through space on the Experience, it was fun all the way. Our room overlooked the strip and provided a fantastic view. Done in Art-Deco style, the room was quite comfortable as well. The buffet provided ample selections, but was a bit on the pricey side for dinner. However the Paradise Grill offered a T-Bone steak dinner after 5 PM for $4.95 which was a great bargain. Everyone we encountered on the staff was friendly and helpful, and the opportunity to interact with the "aliens" from the Star Trek Experience made the trip much more enjoyable. We will definitely choose this hotel again!

Hilton-"not bad" for an older property

from AtlantaRay
We got a great pre-Christmas rate which made us overlook the hotel's age and s-l-o-w check-in lines. (on a late saturday nite they should have been prepared for the holiday travelers)

It's "not bad" for the value ... free tickets to the Hilton's nightclub show (1980's star Sheena Easton show ---fine for the price)... hint: try to get a room a bit away from the whine-y elevators for peaceful sleep. Ample and easy parking.

The best

The Hilton is the best place to stay the slots are loose and the service is excellent. The staff goes out of it's way to help you.The food is out of this world.....The valet service can't help you quick enough,we never had to wait any longer then 5 minutes for our car.

Good deal for the money

I recently stayed at the Las Vegas Hilton because I got a great deal on the room... and was pleasently suprised. I normally stay on the strip and this hotel is next to the convention center, and not really w/in walking distance to the strip itself. The staff at the Hilton were great.. very nice, very accomodating, even the dealers were fun. The rooms are nice, they're pretty big w/not a lot of furniture in them, lots of open space....

The buffet wasn't too bad for being off the strip either... and the star trek ride .. well i didn't think that was worth $20.00...

would stay here again...

Best ever

Dining experience at the Las Vegas Hilton.

from A TripAdvisor Member
On March 17, 2002, I was looking for a nice place

to eat, it was about 2:30am and we decided to go to the Hilton to get a bit to eat. Upon arriving at the Margarita Grille we were seated right away. After viewing the menu we ordered a philly steak sandwich with onion rings, I ordered the ribeye steak cooked med. rare. Our food came to the table looking very good. When I started to eat my steak I notice that there was a hair in the food. My hair is mixed grey and my eating companions hair was black. I am in the restaurant business, so I may just be a bit harder on you than others. I know that service is everything. Our waiter was not pleasant at all, His name was James. James never once smiled, or showed any concern about the fact that there was hair in my food. I ask to see the manager, I was told that there was only a supervisor. When the supervisor arrived at the table she also showed no concern that there was a hair in the food that I had ordered. If you had eaten in my restaurant your meal would have been free plus I would have given you my business card with yet another free entree.I picked the Hilton to have my meal because I have dined at many Hilton's around the world and I have always had a good dining experience. I will probably not recommend my associates to eat at the Las Vegas Hilton's Margarita Grille. I would think because the competition is so great all the restaurants in the Hilton would want to keep people coming back to eat. Toni R. Sweat, 9302 Aylesbury Dr. #4

How Great was this Place?

from A TripAdvisor Member
Although off the beaten path of the Strip...But still within walking distance LV Hilton was the absolute BEST EVER!! I am about to leave for LV this week for the 3rd time in a little over a year, and I wouldn't dream of staying anywhere else. The people are great. There are a bazillion places to eat there that are all very moderately priced. The pool is great and the cocktail servers are the friendliest I've found. AND THE SPA!! Oh my gosh. Trust me it's worth the $18 a day to use it...you won't be disappointed!!
