    After checking into our hotel and doing our laundry, Ron, Scott, and I walked down to the lake shore. There are 3 light houses and a cool bridge all in one location, along with some nice places to eat.My feet were really tired when we got back, but it looks like I will have another 10,000 step day today.

    ... the foreign ships came into port, he used to go out to inoculate them or they would not be allowed off the ship.

    They get the iron ore from northern Minnesota where there are huge iron deposits from open pit mines. We did not get up there to see them....just the Taconite pellets.

    ... me to wade out to a gravel bar to get a better view! I was hesitant at first but it was well worth the traverse across the slippery rocks and cold water! We spent a lot of time watching, listening, and photographing Manabezho and Manido Falls.

    ... to ride on this trail. We rode 20 miles along Lake Bemidji. We rode to the end of the 120 mile trail. Wish we could have done the whole thing, but time would not allow. We packed up and headed to the Mi-Gi-Zi trail that loops around Cass Lake. This ride is how you would imagine riding through the Minnesota Wilderness.
