      Aaron will write this one-
We stayed here for Robyn's 24th birthday (old girl) and I must say I picked a very good holiday for the occasion!

With a excellent sized room which overlooked the huge swimming pool, massages by the pool and a private beach 2 minutes walk away we just relaxed there for the two days and strolled around the streets near the hotel.

Apart from the temperamental wifi, we had a great time in this hotel and didn't want to leave!

      Koh Lanta! No Lanta!

From reading the title you may think that we didn't like Koh Lanta, well quite the opposite really, we thoroughly enjoyed the quiet streets on this island and all of it's natural, non commercial charm that it offered! I guess it's how the 'real Thailand' used to be. The reason why the title is as it is, is because when we asked for anything, from …

... liked it enough over dinner and then go back later to get it. I had always wanted a bamboo tattoo since I last came to Thailand and since I wanted my tattoo to represent travel I thought it would be nice to be done in the traditional technique. Both Abbie and I loved the designs they came up with. Mine was the star of the compass (the star represents my love of stars, the compass represents my love to travel), an arrow to incorporate the quote and a mandala which represents unity and ...

... so we decided that, on our last night in Thailand, we might as well have pad Thai. When we got back to the little cart it was pumping and we had to wait a bit. The guy making the pad Thai had commandeered the seating around the convenience store that he was outside. So we sat there and he brought the pad Thai to us. The place slowly filled up with backpackers because the food was $AU 2.5 and the convenience store provided the drinks. We spent the night chatting with ...

... started to rain a lot. I should mention at this point that included in the price of our hut, there seems to also be the full use of a friendly hut cat. If I'm honest she's a little bit annoying because she wants a lot of attention, meows a lot, and has already brought us a dead lizard - she left it on our outdoor sofa for us to find. That said, she's very cute and we have called her Wendy. She even walked to the bar with us earlier. After relaxing a bit more, we decided that we'd bob down ...

... were killing us! We’re on ‘holiday’ after all not training for the SAS!

During the middle of the third day the weather had taken a turn for the worst and tropical rain showers dominated the days and nights. So we used this time to amble round local
shops (a small 7-Eleven being our favourite for breakfast and snack supplies) and noticed some of the fruit and veg stalls had pink eggs on display! ...
