    Robyn's Birthday Hotel

    Aaron will write this one-
We stayed here for Robyn's 24th birthday (old girl) and I must say I picked a very good holiday for the occasion!

With a excellent sized room which overlooked the huge swimming pool, massages by the pool and a private beach 2 minutes walk away we just relaxed there for the two days and strolled around the streets near the hotel.

Apart from the temperamental wifi, we had a great time in this hotel and didn't want to leave!

    Ko Lanta- Hippy island

A travel blog entry by jake.robinson on May 09, 2015

... is a small collection of bungalows and wooden shacks I guess you'd call them. The dormitary part where we stayed was a strange little building with four small "mattresses" on the floor. On our second day in Ko Lanta we rented a scooter as we didn't want to stay on the same beach for the the whole day. The scooters here only cost 200bhat for a day and they are 100% the best way to explore the islands as tuk tuks and taxis are stupidly expensive. We ...

... around for a minute or two to take pics then carried on. Later on in our dive we approached a cave, Raül looked at us and gave us the ok sign, which we reciprocated and followed. The cave was open ended, known as a 'swim through'. With Raül leading the way, and Ron in the middle, I was the last through. Just as we entered I noticed three lion fish on my left, which have potent venom in their needle like fins, not even a metre away! Managing the swim through unscathed ...

... and we were left breathless. It was so secluded that it doesn't surprise me that pirates use to use it. The only disappointment was that we couldn't stay for longer, but we had another island to visit. The last one was called Koh Ngai. Like Koh Kradan, this island was very much like the pictures we had seen in films and holiday brochures. Wonderfully coloured seas and sands. After all the snorkeling and swimming earlier, we took this opportunity to soak it all in and soak ...

    Enjoying The Island Life Again

... included time to eat our lunch so it was more then enough time to enjoy. Lunch was pretty much the same as what I had back on the Krabi tour so it was pretty average and not that enjoyable but it was something. After eating I took a little walk around before getting into the water. It was then I realised that there was a resort on the island with most of the people already on the beach relaxing in beach chairs eating a packed lunch provided by the resort. I bet the people staying ...

The sun comes out for Christmas Day

... We made it to a bar and had a drink until it cleared. The rest of the day was the same. When it was dry the sun was scorching and we tried to work on our tan, then moments later there would be a down pour. After managing to Skype most our family members to wish a merry Xmas, we went for dinner in The Frog-one of the villages best and most popular restaurants, and had an early night. We had to be up at 7am on boxing ...
