      Aaron will write this one-
We stayed here for Robyn's 24th birthday (old girl) and I must say I picked a very good holiday for the occasion!

With a excellent sized room which overlooked the huge swimming pool, massages by the pool and a private beach 2 minutes walk away we just relaxed there for the two days and strolled around the streets near the hotel.

Apart from the temperamental wifi, we had a great time in this hotel and didn't want to leave!

      Koh Lanta! No Lanta!

From reading the title you may think that we didn't like Koh Lanta, well quite the opposite really, we thoroughly enjoyed the quiet streets on this island and all of it's natural, non commercial charm that it offered! I guess it's how the 'real Thailand' used to be. The reason why the title is as it is, is because when we asked for anything, from …

... poisoning. We hired some bicycles from the resort as we didnt want to risk scooters and they are just 2 pounds for 24 hours. They're hilarious, with weirdly positioned handle bars and no gears but got us around safely enough! We managed to cycle pretty far with a stop for lunch at a beach cafe. Here we saw our first ladyboy. We then visited Time for Lime, where we made a reservation for later in the week and ended up at Long Beach. We walked down the beach to nearly the ...

... comment on everything he was seeing. The second snorkel spot was cool as it had lots of rocks and you could swim in and around them seeing schools of fish as you went. Lastly we kayaked a little and I had fun 'falling' out of the kayak. I then demonstrated what happens when you stand up in a Kayak - another fall into the water. Eventually the other two just paddled off and left me floating - nice. After a great day we tried what is said to ...

... down for dinner. We got a bottle of red wine called Down Under, a Shiraz from Australia. It was pretty good. However, we are definitely looking forward to some good South African wine when we get back! We had dinner and then started watching the festivities on the beach. We got ourselves a Chinese lantern to let off as we had seen quite a few going off already. They call them Balloon lanterns ...

... at climbing into it from the waves - I did get a bit of a soaking though! The short ride to where the ferry would meet us was lovely - we just pootled along slowly, the sea lapping at the side of the boat while we reclined and took in the sunshine... Bliss! Eventually we reached the point in the sea that we needed so the drive stopped and we just floated there for a bit until the ferry arrived. Boarding the ferry was every bit as interesting as getting off it (is ...
