We stayed here for Robyn's 24th birthday (old girl) and I must say I picked a very good holiday for the occasion!
With a excellent sized room which overlooked the huge swimming pool, massages by the pool and a private beach 2 minutes walk away we just relaxed there for the two days and strolled around the streets near the hotel.
Apart from the temperamental wifi, we had a great time in this hotel and didn't want to leave!

We've been lucky to get to know some exceptional people here in Old Town. Just yesterday, our neighbour, Roman, a scuba diving instructor, originally from The Czech Republic, offered to show us the basics of scuba diving. Having often thought about ...
... watched a film lol! Today we decided to brave the walk to the viewpoint at the top of the island. We had breakfast down the road and set off for the viewpoint at about 11am, turned the corner to where the ascent starts and looked up, saw hundreds of steps and groaned haha! I loved my time with Helen on Kosan road many years ago, so maybe its about where you are at in your life, as opposed to where you are at in the world, hmmm? The Thai’s must have a horrid conundrum on their hands with us tourists, on one hand we provide a lucrative profit stream, and on the other a continual stream of annoying, embarrassing and inappropriate 20’s, 30’s and 40 something ...
... no second mosquito net. So one of us had to sleep on this paper thin piece of fabric on a wooden floor where bugs could crawl any where they pleased! We were evidently forced to share the same bed for this night against our will and couldn't wait for the morning to express our dissatisfaction towards this situation.
When morning came, the grumpy/starving/coffee-less me was ready to walk away from this place by leaving 500bath on the bed and never ...
... was. It was located right on the beach front. The villa was split in two, the section at the back contained two double rooms - the master bedroom for Jo and Ron, with its own jacuzzi bath and massage shower. And the double room above, for Amelia and I, with its own little balcony, no jacuzzi bath or massage shower for us though - sometimes you just have to slum it! The other section contained a spacious kitchen and living room area, overlooking the stunning infinity pool and terrace. ...
