Travel Blogs from Ko Lanta
From reading the title you may think that we didn't like Koh Lanta, well quite the opposite really, we thoroughly enjoyed the quiet streets on this island and all of it's natural, non commercial charm that it offered! I guess it's how the 'real Thailand' used to be. The reason why the title is as it is, is because when we asked for anything, from …
... an early departure to Bangkok the next day.
Also I took some photos of the room we stayed in in Koh Phi Phi because I thought it might be fun to see so I will try to do this as much as possible from now on!
(I’m sorry for the delay but I’m actually posting this from the airport in India in the way to Nepal because well… I didn’t have time in Bangkok or on the way there, So I will upload the Bangkok post now as well… ...
... we are all too scared to hire motorbikes and there are no quad bikes for rent here so Lisa and I decided we should also try and get bikes too. We walked for about an hour going in and out of all tour agencies and hostel/hotels (a lot of them rent out motorbikes etc too) we are pretty sure Ellen and Hanna got the last working bikes on the whole island as nowhere had bikes for us to ...
... much just a road through a jungle with some amazing scenery and hardly a soul on it, a truly unspoilt island. We stayed here for Robyn's 24th birthday (old girl) and I must say I picked a very good holiday for the occasion!
With a excellent sized room which overlooked the huge swimming pool, massages by the pool and a private beach 2 minutes walk away we just relaxed there for the two days and strolled around the streets near the hotel.
Apart from the temperamental wifi, we had a great time in this hotel and didn't want to leave!
