A Persian girl who was with her family had a bit of a freak out when the boat driver stopped in the middle of choppy water to watch the sunset for 5 minutes. She started yelling "gooo! ... we spent about an hour in there. Some of the caverns opened up to huge spaces where the roof was only just visible with our head torches, some were small enough that you couldn’t stand up straight. We saw a few creatures in there too, giant crickets, a cockroach, a huge centipede that was probably longer and fatter than my finger, some large spiders with shiny eyes and also, a cave completely packed with annoyed looking bats. ... the small white crabs that scurry across the sand here. At first it made me jump when they did it, but then when I understood it was so funny to watch. We really enjoyed spending time with the animals and I'd highly recommend the place.
We stayed another day or so then decided to move on. I don't think we really saw enough of Koh Lanta and once we left we wished we had just paid out for the tours to see the natural beauty of the island.
