I didn't do much on the day I was heading to Thailand to meet Rae because the weather in Singapore wasn't great. So I chilled out and headed to the airport mid afternoon. My flight to Phuket was fine and I was sat next to a Vietnamese and Pakistani guy who studied together in the USA and are now working for google in Singapore. Two very interesting …

Just chilled on the beach reading today, I think if I was here longer I would explore the island a bit more but fancied having a day just doing nothing! Sorry Sue ;-) The driver was kind of the opposite of the one that picked us up when we first arrived in Bangkok, in that the first one was the happiest cabbie ever and this one was the most subdued. He'd also clearly experienced some problems with flatulent passengers in the past because he had what can only be described as a 'no *******' sign stuck to ...

    ... my delight!

Both the cocktails and six course feast that we were served were delicious and was easily the best meal we had whist island hopping. Our waitress was also the friendliest Thai person we've ever met, even joining in with our photo taking and generally keeping us entertained throughout the meal. It was a lovely way to finish up our two weeks with the girls and last night in Thailand before we catch yet another night train back to Malaysia to continue our travels ...
