... today stated the we should be ready for collection some time between 7:45 and 8:30 but it could be at any given moment between those times so you don't really know if you've time to eat or what - you just hope for the best, haha! We ate up and piled into the back of the truck to head along to the other end of the island, where the meeting point was for the boat. The road along the island is long, mostly straight, rough, and lined with random shacks and bars and ...

We went and had some amazing pad thai's in the evening and then watched more fire shows. There are so many Chinese people everywhere!! They absolutely love it here and seem to come with their families which was strange, as apart from them it was mostly full of youngsters with their alcohol filled buckets or travellers like us.

A truly magical end to our time in Koh Lanta... ...

... and stayed well away....Luke did of course give everyone a fire show and at one point half of his staff flew off into the crowd but no one was caught alight :-). There was also a really high pole, must have been about 20-30 feet high that people were climbing up and then standing on a small ridge only as wide as their feet...another reason you see people walking around in the day injured! Amy and I found a few different ...

... islands for some snorkeling, the tour was touristy to saw the least but we did go to island which we had to swim 300 m through a pitch black cave and arrived at a beach surrounded by cliffs making you feel like you were in a volcano. For the second year running our Xmas dinner consisted of a whole fish which was fantastic and we then watched the Muslim family who ran the lodge perform Xmas games with the guests. My personal favorite was watch a group ...
