      ... heading out for dinner at "The Irish Embassy"!. Score. Jacket potatoes, yes please. Their menus were so brilliant, little Irish passports, the photos being the Father Ted cast haha. Also, on the back of them was a flight sticker from Keflavik airport... seriously? did ya scan my passport? Finding the restaurant was pretty funny, Koh Lanta is pretty much just 1 long road, and we knew it was somewhere along it.. so after walking for about 5 minutes ...

      ... had been relentless!! He had been visiting Thailand for 9 years and this was the first time he had experienced rain like this. On a more positive note, the hotel location is fantastic-right in the heart of Saladan close enough to everything, but just set back from the main road. The pool and complex is better than we expected, and we are literally right on the beach. It was now almost 5pm and it had been a long day ...

      ... our bearings we thought: are we really in Thailand snorkelling right now?? Yup! Wow!!

      We got back on the long tail boat and headed to the open sea in the direction of the amazing limestone islands that Thailand is famous for. Got a bit dicey at this point...       ... platforms, some with hammocks, others with ladders to a private seating tree house but what they all had in common was the beautiful lanterns that lit up the beach in a magical glow in the evenings and the open advertising of marijuana!

      ... stopped at a beach and ate chicken and rice for lunch, and swam in the beautiful beach.

      Some days we played football on the grass or built sandcastles on the beach. One morning Tom, Mum and I built a really big fortress including museums, churches and shopping malls.

      We left Koh Lanta in the afternoon and got a man to drive us all the way to Phuket. It took 5 hours.

      We did a lot of things in Koh Lanta and I liked it all.
