... sometimes over them, and sometimes around them and sometimes down in the canyons. Although we were on the Interstate, the speed limit was often as low as 40 mph as we made sharp turns around the rims. Some of the canyon walls were made of black volcanic rock, occasionally tinged with strands of burnt orange. And yellow grass grew out of them as if they were made of soft soil. ... Roger kitty. Most of us know it's not the greatest joy to scoop a litter box but we do it because we love our cats. Poor things had to deal with runny poop on the bed! We are really concerned about him and discussed turning around but there's nothing we can do more than the Germans already are. Finally we cross the state line and enter California. We stop off to visit Lake Tahoe. Its ever so nice. Pristine emerald and blue water surrounded by pine trees. What a beautiful place.
These mountain roads are something else, with scenery that is just breathtaking. We dont get into Redding till after 7pm, and find this really nice RV park off the highway and out of town. Doesnt take long to set up the tent, while Gerry is already set up with her camper van.

It wasn't actually all bad my aunt and uncle as conservative at they were were a lot of fun and i got HAMMERED drunk most nights with my uncle talking **** and playing pool. Meanwhile ...

... 9th tallest dam (when built in 1945 it was behind Hoover and Grand Coulle) and the reservoir (Lake Shasta) is the largest capacity in California. It was both a beautiful and sad sight....The lake is so low. I guess we should call our trip thru CA as the low reservoir trip as that is all we have seen and they have been so low. The water is so blue and high in the background is Mt. Shasta with snow still in the crevices. We walked thru the Visitor Center and they ...
