It was another early start after a quick breakfast at MacDonalds. I was currently going to uni in New York City and had 2 holidays where I went out to Lake Louise, Golden, and Fernie. It's August, right? This morning, we woke up to snow and rain. It is so cold - and we have to take down the tent. What a thrill. Not only that, but the rain makes for a really sucky drive into the Rocky Mountains. There's so much fog, we can hardly even see them! First thing this morning, I took Mario to the coffee shop, Mountain Perks, to prove a point I've been trying to prove for the past year. Mountain Perks makes THE BEST Chai latte that I've tasted to this day, and believe me, I've tasted a lot of Chai latte. Finally, after a year of convincing, Mario agrees with me. We head to the nearby non-tourist town(meaning actual people live there), Invermere, to shop, and have lunch at the Blue Dog Café. They make amazingly tasty sandwiches. Back to Fair...

Saturday August 27, 2005 Finally, we are back in the mountain....we drove through Banff National Park, soaking in the sights along the way. We toured through Banff briefly, signing up for a rafting trip the next day on the Kicking Horse river just outside Yoho National Park. Our next stop was Lake Louise.
