Drove to Memphis to see Elvis's house. Driving to it, I recognized it immediately. The tour was great. The house is much smaller than you would expect. The property and grounds are beautiful.

We then went over to Beale St. And ate lunch at B.B. Kings. May go back tomorrow night for the live music.

We then drove around downtown. In 30 minutes we drove in Tennessee, Mississippi, and Arkansas.

When we got back we checked out another casino, Sam's Town. Just like ...

Left Montgomery and it was 40 degrees with a windchill of 35. We drove west, on the highway that was the route of the civil rights march in 1965. We reached the bridge in Selma where Bloody Sunday took place. It was very moving because we had seen the movie Selma a couple of weeks ago. We then went checked out Love Oaks Cemetary. Some headstones there ...

Sought out "Ground Zero Blues Club" which is joint owned by Morgan Freeman (born here and now loves here after an absence) At lunch times they are open for food.

Went in for a coffee, yes I had to keep my bladder ...

... us the craziest (for us anyway) place to rest our heads for the next two nights... in old share cropper shacks! Whilst basic, they just looked awesome, and the pics and reviews were spot on. Upon arrival the guy at the 'reception' (in the big shed) chatted to us and when we spotted guitars, the guy told Cam that he could take one to our shack if he wanted. Oh the smile on little Cammie's face :)

When we drove the car around and opened up the door to our very private ...

Stuck in the 50s?

... a visitor’s center, since it would appear Greyhound doesn’t come to Clarksdale too often. (Even the free parking signs didn’t seem to be particularly noteworthy—they are so rusted through you have to wonder if the sign marking the parking lot is still valid. However, I couldn’t see enough demand being generated anymore for anyone to ever have to pay for parking.) Some areas of these towns may ...
