    ... worth the $$.  We both shot our usual game, nothing unusual to note there!  The weather was beautiful today and 89 degrees. Yesterday, we drove to JOSHUA TREE National Park and did the "loop" thru the mountain, desert and big boulders..(see pics).   Three more days here, then we head to Avi Casino and RV Resort in Laughlin, NV.  We will spend a few days there with our good friends, Ken and Chris Kaleta, who are also traveling.   ...

    ... told them about the CAT scan and they said to call them back with the results.

    The scan took about 10 minutes and I was allowed to accompany Bob and the porter to the room, but had to wait outside during the test. Then back to the ER for more waiting and eavesdropping on the situations in the neighbouring curtained areas.

    The doctor came back and told Bob that the scan hadn't found anything that would explain his extreme pain. ...

    ... that at first the warthogs were scared of Noodle and ran, but they are getting braver and a couple have even charged him when he goes after them. We watched and laughed at the exchange among the animals.

    During this time, I also learned about what groups of certain animals are called. These are the most interesting:

    Zebras – a dazzle
    Giraffes – a tower (if they are standing still), a journey (if they traveling)

    ... ourselves to a swim in the hotel pool before heading off for the day. The highlights at Coachella for saturday were 'The XX', 'The Postal Service', 'Bat for Lashes' and 'Phoenix'. Unfortunately with so many great bands playing there was often a few tough choices to make on who to see. The most difficult one was choosing to see 'The XX' who were playing at the same time as 'Two door cinema club' and 'Franz Ferdinand'.

    ... movie "Cocoon", only gayer. For dinner we enjoyed meatloaf, which didn't taste quite as good as the free meatballs they were giving to a charity softball team nearby. Since everyone retires early in Palm Springs (literally), we decided to call it a night afterwards.
