... I long to pack up and leave the coast in our high performance Ford Focus. After stopping to be tourists in Temecula , a small town that restored it's historic cowboy roots, we eventually made it to Palm Springs and our condo for the next week. Let's just say we were pleasantly surprised. This place is awesome! We didn't really know what we ...

So I had to go inside and pay first, which is fine but you have to give them and exact dollar amount of how much you want, you can't just say here's my card, I want to fill it up, I'll come back in in a minute to pay and collect the card, no that's way too logical and easy, you have to guess how much your car might take, grrrrr! So I had a "I'm not a mind reader" spat with my ...

... and we travelled a couple of extra miles before we reached our last USA "home", the Rancho Las Palmas villas in Rancho Mirage (not actual Palm Springs, but right next door). On the way we saw what has to be the biggest Wind Turbine farm on earth at Morongo, it must have had close to 2000 turbines all spinning in the desert wind. Once we arrived at Rancho Los Palmas, we seemed we had found the beautiful people, but ...
