Today we woke to another 'gourmet' breakfast and head straight down to the beach under the beaming sun. We went to the marina end to avoid the crowds and hawkers and it was perfect. Leesh soaked up the sun while I built a sand castle to keep amused. We once again saw our seal friend barking in the water as we lay there in peace. Next thing, Leesh is yelling and saying she's been stung by a bee haha and the stinger was still stuck in her skin just above her bikini ...
... so lucky was the puffer fish I found gasping on the sand. Unwilling to grab hold of its possibly venomous spines I attempted to roll it back to its watery home and then hurled it toward the sea using my boots and a pile of sand as a buffer. I had attracted an elderly couple full of good advice as co-conspirators in my attempts but sadly Nature had already decided this one's fate and moments later it was again beached and gasping. We had tried our best but this one was ...
... there were firefighters and mechanics on board and some weird burning smell. Apparently a bird had flown into the plane motor and so the bird got fried and the motor stopped working. We ended up changing planes and after a longggg time we arrived in Guadalajara at midnight. There was a lot of more drama with our luggage stuff and then securing our hotel but yeah ...anyway thus ended part 1 of our volaris ...
... it reached a point where the road turned to gravel and dirt for the remaining two and a half hours.
At one point we had to get out of the car to assess the situation as there really was no way our little car was going any further, even the jeeps wouldn’t have made ...
... around so it wasn’t the magical snorkeling experience of a lifetime or anything like that and I would much rather snorkel somewhere without any type of life vest but… it was a good, good time and the water felt fabuloso!!
We got back on the catamaran and it was time for our "fiesta" portion of this sail… unlimited margaritas and a sail around the area!
We sailed past Lover’s Beach where you can swim and enjoy the beach... and ...
