... breathtaking in this Hill Country. The main drag of Bandera is lined with "Old West" decor shops and architecture with hitching rails at the bars and river running for kayaking fans. Some storm clouds were rolling in so I decided to motel it for the night and head to Gander the next day. The motel was interesting, the bed was AMAZING!

Our only activity today was an attempt to get the suitcases fuller before we head home in three weeks. We went to many stores over 6 hours and didn't get much at all, despite trying on lots of clothes. The day was pretty warm but it got overcast so the day was comfortable despite being in the late 80s. For lunch we had Taco Bell and for dinner we had ...

Outside we saw some cool animals including fennec fox, white lion, macaw, prairie dog and hyenas. Some of the cages seemed inappropriate for the animals, in that they were pretty basic and concrete. For dinner we went to Wendy's and had some ...

... or pronunciations; I find I have to spell a lot of things out to people before they know what I'm on about. We are actually quite gobsmacked at the amount of people who constantly think we are British, Irish, Welsh even! There are a few others who think we are Swedish - I think maybe the blonde hair and pale skin? (I might have said that already? But it continues all the same). Actually, we bumped into some guys from UK in a taxi line and straight away they knew we were ...

... the end of the drive we stopped of at a gas station called bucees. Now this wasn't one of our random stops as our leader and another girl had been staring at billboards for this place non stop from 100 miles away. Apparently everybody in Texas loves bucees. When I say it's a gas station a more appropriate term would be a store that sells absolutely every, so kind of like Walmart that also ...
