A couple of days in Trat

A travel blog entry by niomioconnor on Jul 06, 2014

So yesterday we left Koh Kong by about afternoon time, after having the most amazing breakfast at Fat Sam's (beans on toast with cheese and an iced coffee) we changed our money into Bhaat and took a tuk tuk to the Thai boarder. The drive to the boarder only took ten minutes and when we got there it was surprisingly easy (we weren't ripped off which I know most people are) although it was pouring with rain and the process took quite a long time. I'm pretty sure the immigration guard ...

Looks awesome On the road and up to the right is the Magic Garden where you can watch movies, and the Q bar which does live music and the hangover bar that has a fountain running off the inside of the roof like it's raining. It might do that later. Walk back past klkl hostel. Looks like a purple and pink prison camp. I think out of all the places in "the village" as it's dubbed, that we're in the ...

On the mini-van chatted away to a lady who was in Thailand for a few weeks before moving to Australia for ...

... to cut the coconut down, drill a whole and put a straw in it for me, suppose you can't get fresher than that. I was careful when ordering my lunch as there was a chicken and pig walking around, so just noddles will do for me.

So everyones gone now and I'm here just sitting in a hammock updating this, a few more days here and then on to Bangkok, people say i won't last a week there as to busy, but we shall wait and see.

... when we returned to the room, Rob had taken the tickets out and left them near our guide book...so it looks like we’ll make it back to Bangkok for the night, before heading to Kanchanaburi!

Our 4th and final day in Koh Chang was more a relaxing day waiting for our transport back to Bangkok. We spent the morning playing cards on our porch and then after checking out, dropped our bags at reception. After a small amount of reading and playing on a ...
