On our first day in Koh Kong, Heather & I met a lovely Cambodian guy who offered to take us on his moto to some waterfalls & mangrove forests. Day 2, we did just that. The mangrove forests were beautiful, though they looked remarkable similar to my Florida backyard. The waterfall was actually a collection of river rapids. Locals as gathered all up the stream to battle the heat via a ride down the river. Apparently in high season the water is crystal clear, making it simple ...

... It was all ready starting to make up for our trip to the Mekong. The river was very clean and warm! We arrived at Chi Phat and was thinking what had we let ourselves in for!? We were the only westerners in the village and it was difficult to judge how the locals were taking us. We decided to stay in an Eco lodge 'just' outside the village and just as we were about to cycle to it there was a huge thunderstorm and it rained a lot!! We had to wait for the storm to pass and ...

... it through this cute little town where you can explore everything starting from local life ending on local parties. So what else would you need?

I spent here a bit of time and one thing I will remember this place by, is all sorts of little creatures just ''gluing'' to me. The most colorful butterflies were just dancing around me or simply resting on me. Dragon flies just could let go of me...either it was my hand they hang out on or my ...

        Koh Rong - Paradise!

... Unbelievably the sand was softer and the water was much clearer. I thought this must be what the beaches in the Maldives are like. Unfortunately there was litter on the beach, but it seemed to have been washed up rather than left by people. As we made our way down the beach we realised there was maybe only 20 people on this 7km stretch of paradise. As we walked further down the beach we found a nice spot to set up camp with no one else in view at all. With ...
