Koh Chang: Die Insel ist leicht von Bangkok aus zu erreichen und doch ist man den ganzen Tag unterwegs (im Minibus, auf der Fähre, in einem Taxi,...). Je weiter man in den Süden von Thailand kommt, desto schwüler und heißer wird es. Trotzdem ist es angenehmer als in Bangkok, da die Meeresluft gut tut.

... there was thumping music coming from a few bars but no one in them. A guy got us to go into one bar but it was just rubbish with no one there and far too loud to talk. So we walked around for a bit more but decided it wasn't happening so went back to ours. We were surprised by how few people there were but we were on the tail-end of high season so it wasn't as popular I guess. ... as we wanted to FaceTime with my mother, brother, his wife Corinne and daughter Zoë, so we did but the line was terrible. Probably cause lots of people were using Internet around that time. Anyway, it was nice to see their face and talk a little. What was not nice was that Corinne told us that her mother went to hospital last night with a respiratory infection.
