Day 107. All aboard... The night train

... it and smiling as I write. I have finished mine, because it came first. Food never comes at the same time here.
I am now writing about today's events sat on the sleeper train and loving it!

We left our bags at TK Hotel and went to a hotel that had a pool. I sat in the shade on the opposite side of the pool to Jane who was sunbathing, sweating in the sun. There was wifi so we still chatted using Whatsapp!

... was getting pretty tiring! After the zoo we visited the bridge that joins Phuket to mainland Thailand and then had the long journey back to the hotel, returning around 7pm. Ellie and Jess hired a moped for the day and explored the island so we waited for them to come back around 8.30pm and went for dinner at an Italian that only sold pizza. There were a lot of Italians in there so we knew it would be amazing and it really was the best pizza I've ever had! Followed by a much needed early ...

... long pole. They were also using monkeys. These had clearly been specially trained for the work and, after a little encouragement, scampered up into the crowns of the palm trees and started hurling coconuts to the ground. It was very entertaining and I joined a group of other residents with cameras at the ready to try to capture the monkeys at work. ... a few hours.

Left about 11:30am and rode back to hotel, maybe 6-7kms, dropped off bike and showered. Walked to closest mini mart for drinks, tea, bananas, munchies . Rested in room, went out about 3, booked taxi pickup (Boss Cheaper than Hotel) for Sunday 12 o'oclock, bought bag and candle set, juice and dinner at cheap roadside stall.
